What It Means to Be a Women's Business Enterprise

Posted by David Bean on November 13, 2017

A strong dedication to diversity is crucial to success and increased innovation in today’s business world. At the MCS Group, we’re proud to be certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

The WBENC is the country’s top advocate for women-owned businesses to serve as suppliers to U.S. government agencies and corporations, and the largest third-party certifier of women-owned business in the nation. WBENC’s overriding goal is to foster and promote diversity in the world of commerce. In order to be certified as a WBE, a business must be at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. As of 2015, there were over 13,000 certified WBEs in our country, and that number continues to grow each day.

MCS's certification as a WBE underscores our unrelenting dedication to focusing on diversity and increasing corporate responsibility in this area. We share WBENC’s belief that diversity helps advance innovation, opens new avenues of business on all sides, and creates new partnerships that only serve to fuel and improve the overall economy.

Fostering diversity leads to greater business opportunities and successes for everyone. MCS is committed to working with companies and agencies that recognize the importance of diversity in industry and are looking to increase the diversity of their suppliers.

Join us in our mission to promote diversity in commerce. Working with a certified WBE like MCS opens the door to new opportunities, and is just one more way you can experience excellence while reducing your operational costs and increasing your productivity through relying on outsourcing services.
