E-Discovery Tools – ReadySuite – Part 1 in a 3 Part Series

Posted by Stephen Ehrlich on June 18, 2018

One of the things I truly enjoy about technology is the different paths that people take to solve problems. In the world of e-discovery, there is no shortage of need when it comes to dealing with different types of data and special kinds of problems. That’s why it’s important to know about all the tools available. This blog series is a way for me to share a few of my favorites!

Have you ever received a production from the other side that you can’t just import?

Have you received PDFs with no load file?

Are looking to QC your own load files before they go out the door to another party?

If you have experienced any of these scenarios, then ReadySuite would be a great tool for you to have in your arsenal.

Using ReadySuite, you can import any industry-standard load file format and not only check the links to make sure the documents are pathed properly, but also page counts, image compression, color pages, blank pages and whether text files exist, all with a simple point-and-click import process. There will be no more generic “Error on line 3” messages where you have to go fishing out what the problem is and then fix it in TextPad, UltraEdit or whatever tool you might use.

You can even use ReadySuite to create a load file if you don’t have one. You can simply point the software at a directory, import the files (subdirectories too!) and export a load file into any of the standard formats. Everything you do is visual, and you can customize fields, run reports, merge data from multiple sources, all from an easy-to-use interface. For more details, check out the site www.compiledservices.com. In my opinion, this tool is an indispensable Swiss army knife that any litigation support professional would find useful.

Stay tuned for the next two parts of this blog series where we will highlight other tools you may find useful!
